Why is Naming significant?

Central to the brand identity, naming is how a brand is recognized by the public. Creating a name that is unique to a brand, is not already trademarked by competitors, and evokes the brand ethos is no easy feat.

A great name is central to the brand’s core values, provides context to a brand’s position in the industry, and is memorable to the target audience. To create a recognizable brand, the name should be easily spelled and spoken by the target audience. It is important to note the target audience because naming a children’s toy will be vastly different from a laboratory.
