The sun’s progress is one of the earliest methods for telling time. Civilizations built monolithic sculptures to mark solar events. Circa’s logo is a monolith, like the one worshiped in 2001 a space odyssey. It can be warped and worked, distressed or set in bold colors. It can stretch and move, its pieces finding their way back to the form.

Warm terracottas, sun-glowing oranges, and cactus greens give Circa an earthy presence, a palette that feels at home in Arizona. A typographical system that would be legible from far away and work well across menus and websites. A set of sketches that can be deployed simply or maximally depending on the desired volume of whimsy. That’s the Circa system. Time waits for everyone. A coffee brand waits for customers. A design team waits for their moment just to be, after the project ends, when the case study goes live and everyone looks. Who will tell our story? It is only us.
