Piece of Home Stays

Piece of Home Stays is a short-term rental company bringing to the service category the tenants of fine hospitality, an eye for detail, and the amenities that make home feel like home. When entrepreneur Yiwei Cheng came to us with her project, we knew that the keys to success were simplicity, clarity, and quality. After performing research into the competitive landscape, building customer profiles around fundamental needs, and auditing her properties and booking experience, we presented a series of identity design options that focused on combining the home and the heart.

A triangle on top of a square is perhaps the most recognizable icon to the human eye that translates across languages and cultures. With a heart at the center, the POHS brand immediately communicates the connection between real estate and high-touch service Yiwei employs to differentiate her company.

The color palette, with a calming natural green and burnt orange is a balance of warmth and neutrality, providing a sense of ease and quiet—the attributes one looks for in a place to call home. For headlines, POHS uses the beautiful and expressive SangBleu serif and the elegant but friendly Maax Rounded for subheads and callouts. Full identity included custom drawn icons for web and social and scope included website with booking platform integration, and print collateral.
