We’re the restaurant branding agency for concepts that deserve to be remembered.

A restaurant brand is the promise guests feel before the first plate arrives. We make that promise clear, distinctive, and impossible to confuse with anyone else.

A Rebrand Is a Reintroduction, Not a Facelift

Restaurant branding is the work of making a concept legible before a guest ever sits down: the name, the story, the room, the menu, and the way people describe it to a friend. BS LLC is a restaurant branding agency in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our team came up through kitchens, not just conference rooms. Managing partner Sebastien Hue cooked at Le Français under Roland Liccioni, a restaurant the New York Times called the best west of Paris, and staged at Taillevent and Lasserre in Paris and Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago. He then spent five years as marketing director at Boca Restaurant Group, building the marketing department and helping scale the group’s concepts Boca, Sotto, and Nada from 70 to more than 500 employees across three cities. He now serves on Boca’s Culinary and Innovation Board. We have built or rebuilt concepts including Sudova, Colette, The Alto, and Circa Coffee. We work across naming, identity, environment, menu, and the website that has to carry all of it.

Trusted by hundreds of brands. Here’s a few:

Restaurant branding built for real hospitality

Concept and story first

We shape the idea, the name, and the narrative so the concept has a point of view before a single menu or sign is designed.

Identity that works on the floor

Restaurant branding lives on menus, signage, packaging, uniforms, and screens. We build systems that hold together across every guest touchpoint.

Brands guests want to talk about

Distinctive, memorable identities that earn word of mouth and give a concept staying power beyond the opening buzz.

Restaurant branding from a team that has done it 14 times over

A restaurant lives or dies on a feeling. Long before the food is judged, guests decide what a place is, who it’s for, and whether it’s worth their evening, based on the name, the room, the menu, and the story the brand tells. Get that wrong and even great food struggles to find its audience. Get it right and the concept has gravity from day one.

We’ve been trusted with that responsibility again and again. BS LLC has led creative and strategic direction for more than 14 award-winning restaurant concepts, shaping the naming, identity, and experience that make a place feel inevitable rather than accidental.

That depth matters because restaurant branding is unforgiving. The identity has to survive contact with menus, signage, packaging, uniforms, delivery apps, and a dining room in full swing, all while staying true to the concept. We build brand systems that hold together across every one of those touchpoints, so the promise a guest feels at the door is the same one they feel at the table.

“A restaurant brand is the promise a guest makes to a friend when they recommend you,” says Sebastien Hue, managing partner at BS LLC.

BS LLC managing partner Sebastien Hue serves on Boca Restaurant Group’s Culinary & Innovation Board, working directly with founder David Falk on concept development, culinary direction, brand, and guest experience across the group’s current and future restaurants.

The concepts behind the claim

The proof is in the concepts. We named and launched Sudova and Colette, The Alto and Circa Coffee, part of the more than 14 award-winning restaurant concepts our team has led creative and strategic direction for.

We also sit on the board of Boca Restaurant Group as lead advisor on growth, which keeps us close to the operating side of hospitality: openings, reconcepts, and the economics a menu has to survive. We brand restaurants like people who have to live with the results, because we do.

Restaurant branding is where brand strategy, brand system, and experience meet. We handle the concept, the name, and the full system, then make sure it carries onto the plate, the wall, and the screen. If you’re opening, reconcepting, or scaling, the brand should do the heavy lifting before the doors open.

Reconcepting a place that already has regulars is its own discipline, closer to a rebrand than a launch, and the site guests check before they book usually needs a redesign in the same breath.

What we actually do when a restaurant brand is not landing

Three problems account for most of the restaurant work that comes to us. The concept is clear in the owner’s head and nowhere else, so the room, the menu, and the marketing each tell a slightly different story. The name is fine but generic, so the place is impossible to recommend. Or the brand was built for one location and is now being asked to carry four.

All three are strategy problems wearing a design costume. We start with the concept and the guest, define what the place is and who it is for in language the whole staff can repeat, then build the identity, the naming, and the system from that decision outward.

What you get is the full kit rather than a logo file: name and concept language, identity and typography, menu design standards, signage and environmental direction, packaging and delivery-app presentation, social and photography direction, and a short guide the team can actually use during service.

If the restaurant already has regulars, that changes the work. Reconcepting means protecting the equity you have while changing the parts that are holding you back, which is closer to rebranding than to a new launch. And if the bottleneck turns out to be the site or the ordering path rather than the brand, we will say so and point you at a website redesign instead.
